Specializing in coal and bedded minerals, the Paul Weir Company offered a full range of consulting and engineering services in mining, geology, economics, combustion technology and utilization.

Paul Weir Company (Weirco) was established in Chicago in 1936 and since then grew and expanded its services, while building a reputation for successful and dependable performance worldwide.

In 1988 Weirco became a member of the International Mining Consultants (IMC) Group of companies, a worldwide leader in providing specialized mining consulting services.

Weirco offered mining, geology, and engineering and consulting services to the mining industry working for many operating companies, in addition to public utilities, railroads and financial institutions.
