The objective of a mine operational assessment is to identify elements of the mining, processing, or support functions that can potentially be improved in order to enhance the competitive position of the operation. WEIR’s services assist mine operators to enhance safety, improve productivity, and minimize costs, either by analyzing specific elements of an operation or by conducting audits of the entire operation.

For underground mines, our assessments range from evaluating roof support requirements to recommending improvements to the overall mining operation. For surface mines, assessments range from recommending the optimum selection of equipment to efficient methods of material handling and reclamation.

WEIR also provides technical audits of all aspects of an operation, such as extraction, preparation, quality control, maintenance, supply and inventory, cost accounting, environmental and reclamation compliance, and management or contractor efficiency.
